Learning to tame wedding parties

I usually avoid performing in weddings unless it's strolling or close-up magic. I ph34r the big room, the mic, the large crowds, etc. You know already if you've been reading all my previous stuff; but from time to time i accept a wedding gig as a challenge.
This weekend i had one. They booked strolling at the reception and 'a middle of the evening show'. The strolling went fine, i mingled with the guests and all the stuff but the problem was the previous moments to the show. That dead time between the reception and the show (more than two hours) killed my nerves! I was on an empty stomach and started feeling dizzy; i was feeling like shit!

The time came and i did it. I did it better than previous wedding gigs. I'm improving my wedding show. I'm getting to know the mic. We're like friends now. The mic is good. I like the wireless one with the mic stand. I like that better than the headband or the lapel mic. I like the mic now :)

All in all and in spite of them laughing and having a good time, the show was crappy. I did not like it very much. I can give so much more than what i gave.

I'm working on it! I'm working on it dammit!!
